Interested in bringing Torn From Home to your museum?

Torn from Home: My Life as a Refugee will be available, starting January 2009, as a traveling exhibit to museums that meet eligibility requirements. Targeted to 8- to 12-year-old children, this interactive exhibit offers an inspiring learning experience for on human rights and the plight of the world’s refugee children.

In bringing Torn from Home to your city, host venues are encouraged to connect with local refugee populations and related aid organizations and take advantage of community programming opportunities.

Join us in a journey to gain insight into the challenges and triumphs experienced by millions of refugee children and their families worldwide.

Cost
Thanks to generous funding, no rental fee will be charged. The host venue is responsible for a security deposit, cost of shipping, and insurance.

Requirements

Space requirements
Gallery space to accommodate a 1,500-2,500sf exhibit

Staffing
Minimum one (1) full-time interpretive staff as well as installation and de-installation staff

Power & Internet
Power supply for one (1) video component, five (5) audio components, one (1) touch screen component, and three (3) lit wall cases. Internet access point for an optional email component in the video kiosk section of the exhibit area.
